Make a New Normal

Construct

This is the day you’ve been waiting for. It’s time to write a prayer. Maybe you’ve done this already. But if not, here’s your chance.

Prompt 4: You have everything you need right now!

Read: Read over your notes and previous assignments. Pick out the themes that speak to you.

Assignment: Write a prayer using the four parts: Opening, Address, Body, Closing. Here’s a tip: the number one cause of frustration with any writing is a lack of clarity at the outset. If you don’t like how the prayer is going, try going back to why it is you want to pray. Think about who it is for, what form it should take, and what is driving you to pray about it.

You may also want to simply start over. Pick a new thing, new form, new approach. Write what feels good or makes sense in the moment.
