Prayer
-
As Jesus prays in the midst of his disciples, he offers us a window into how the project will go without him, and with the Spirit.
-
Ash Wednesday invites us to confront both life and death, reconciliation and condemnation, hope and despair and dare ourselves to not look away.
-
When we gather together, placing ashes on our foreheads to remember our mortality, we join a very public and common witness.
-
Then one is praying for new life. Hope. And everything that can come from it. Joy. And everyone who can experience it. And justice for all.
-

-
