Pick and choose protestors

Just a quick thought for a Monday morning…

Why is it that the millions that protested the Iraq Conflict peacefully for years were virtually ignored by the press and totally ignored by Washington while today’s ‘protesters’, hundreds of angry and abusive anti-tax protesters, are media darlings and have Congress cow-towing to them?

    read a blog this morning that asked the same thing, except that it was in reference to moderate Muslims speaking out against extreemism and being ignored or moderate Christians speaking out against the excesses of Christian radicals like Pat Robertson and also being ignored. It’s the media bias in favor of conflict.

    I don’t disagree that the media are interested in excitement and nuns protesting a war is nothing like racists spitting on Congressmen, but there is also a deeper problem with how different these issues are treated.
