Make a New Normal

I missed a day

Writing everyday is a discipline. Missing a day is less a failure than an opportunity to practice commitment.

I have written a new blog post every day for three months. Then I missed a day.

Not because I was too busy. Just…because I didn’t do it.

I remembered it throughout the day. Thought, I should really do that now! then continued doing whatever it was that I was doing.

Remembered at bedtime and chose sleep.

But here’s the thing.

The best time to do something was then. The second best time is now.

So here I am: offering yesterday’s post today. Because I can.

And I’m publishing it as if it came out yesterday with yesterday’s timestamp. Because I can.

For the sake of posterity, nobody will know the difference. A strange bit of time travel.
