The Bullet Journal Quickstart

All it takes is a notebook

Want to start bullet journaling, but think it’s too complicated or requires fancy materials or artistic ability? Then check this out. I’ll get you started bullet journaling in about 90 seconds.

The process is simple and all it takes is a basic spiral notebook and a pen.

Then do the following:

  1. Grab a notebook (college-ruled is better).
  2. On the first page, put a one at the bottom and write your name and contact info.
  3. On the next page, put a two at the bottom and fill out your Key (You can find those below).
  4. Number the next sets of pages 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11.
  5. And on page 11, write at the top “[insert current month] Tasks”
  6. Turn the page and number it 12. Put the date at the top and list your events and tasks for the day.

That’s it!

Now, of course, there’s more to it than this. And I’ll be fleshing out what goes into those blank pages in my Bullet Journal Beginners course.

In the first lesson, I break down what the signifiers in the key signify so we can jump in and start doing the basics of the bullet journal in minutes! That first lesson is out now!
