Make a New Normal

Cargo Container Church

I’m claiming it now.  I want to do a cargo container church.  I’ve been reading Ready Made and Dwell and I know that people have transformed old cargo containers into living space. Now that Starbucks has unveiled a cargo container store, it is high time we renovate in this direction.

I say no more big stone churches and no more auditoriums.  No more store fronts and gymnasiums.  Go eco-friendly and 100% recycled.  It is transportable and can be made by the community.  And like Lego blocks, we could have fun designing the space and making it ours.

    So, have you done it?

I’m a church planter and I’m really interested in this idea and have been researching to see if others have already done it.

    1. No! I’ve been playing it safe. But I appreciate you’re reminding me of this! I need to make some new connections. What have you found so far in your research?

  2. Greetings

I’m strongly considering building a container church here in Las Vegas

Great idea. I’ve just been thinking of it and decided to google the concept to see what others may have done. I’m based in Cape Town. Would value any ideas from you all.
