  • We have a tendency to focus on the negative. Thinking it’s what we’re supposed to do. It’s actually a distraction.

  • Jesus gives us a parable that compels us in ways that make us feel and think. What we choose to do with that is telling.

  • The greatest challenge with being good is often that we don’t know what to do with our sense of evil; and when that is us.

  • A couple pieces the lectionary skips over reveal a lot about the texts we’re reading. And much more about ourselves.

  • Jesus’s parable of the weeds among the wheat challenges us to see evil in the desire to pluck weeds when we know it’ll kill the wheat.

  • Revealed
