Matthew 2:1-12

  • In revealing the incarnation to shepherds and star watchers, we are given the sharp contrast of God’s love and joy against the madness of kings.

  • In the Epiphany, we focus on the light to the exclusion of the dark, celebrating the fools and rather than the hope Christ brings.

  • In the Epiphany, we are invited to partner with God in new ways. Because God is always inviting new people in.

  • The Epiphany is not just the celebration of some dudes bringing presents. It’s the revelation that God’s grace is suitable for all of us.
