  • Being good and doing good. We usually make it a debate. And then marching orders. Above them, though, is mercy.

  • What is the right thing to do? Always the question. Strangely never really solved. Because it is never the only question.

  • What we mean by the phrase “good governance” is revealing. Even more revealing is what we do to prioritize it.

  • The point isn’t to be good, it’s to do good. It seems both countercultural and yet so normal, doesn’t it? For those of us who grew up trying to be good, though, this is hard to swallow.
