Make a New Normal

For Sunday

  • We begin Holy Week with Palm Sunday and move quickly to the Passion. But there’s a lot more there we are called to read.

  • In the story of Mary seeking Jesus to heal Lazarus, we have a familiar image of grief. That we aren’t always rational.

  • The story of Jesus healing a man’s blindness should be joyous. Instead, faith leaders are making everyone miserable.

  • We often call this passage “the woman at the well,” almost as if Jesus isn’t even there, like he plays no part.

  • Living in Sin

The challenge for Nicodemus is obvious. The fear of being found out. Of course, this isn’t really his problem, but ours.

  • In the Transfiguration, three disciples follow Jesus up the mountain. And how they react to what they witness is everything.
