Why a process?
If you’re like me, when I put my email address in, I want to be done. I typed it in, let’s move on. Except that isn’t really safe. Industry best practices, and in some places the actual law of the land is to use the double opt-in, which means you have to consent that this is really what you want through your email. It is smart, safe, and gives you some control.
