Make a New Normal

  • Love People

This week, we have two options for seeing Jesus’s Way of Love entering into our world, and in both, the challenge is for us to try to see it.

  • In the raising of Lazarus, we are encountering a story of the possible and the impossible, opening up what we see as each, or both.

  • The challenge of All Saints Day is to not just see it as a time of memory, but of a time of influence, conviction, and inspiration.

  • This week we jump ahead to Jerusalem — or to the gospel of John — and find ourselves in the midst of a different story.

  • Jesus calls Bartimaeus to be a disciple at the time when the other disciples are struggling to see the purpose and the glory of God.

  • Deciding how to approach this week’s gospel requires a look into our process of discerning our work in the world.
