Between Proper 6 + 7 (Year B)

I always celebrate when this week’s gospel flows directly from last week’s. It makes recalling the story much easier.

As we prepare for this week, however, I recommend revisiting the deeper backstory, as highlighted in the previous weeks for

Last week’s clue

As we head into a story of the disciple’s shock at Jesus’s incredible power, let’s remember that this is preceded by talk of God’s transformative power.

This is, after all, part of the mustard seed’s testament. Not just that God can make things grow, but that God can transform creation.

Now we will find that Jesus is not just a healer, but Lord of the wind and sea, as well.
