I’ve rediscovered the mojito. It’s one of my favorite drinks. Light, sweet. Perfect for summer.
At home, I make them with less sugar.
Playing with the amount of sugar means finding a balance between desert and dessert. Dry and sweet.
The recipes call for far too much sugar. But being skimpy brings far less joy. So a compromise feels right. Even then, a tablespoon is a lot of sugar. So, I suppose that either way, the mojito should be the dessert.
