The natural draw of nature
I grew up on the water. I feel a constant pull from it to return. Like a beacon, drawing me to it, wanting to be near it.
Living in landlocked communities feels like the desert. There, a river can be an oasis. They are tributaries, a lifeline, like the cord connecting an astronaut to their ship. The only thing keeping you from floating into the darkness of space—into nothingness.
Here, by the water, life is more vibrant, rich.
A reminder, a living memory.
