God of Hope, be with me, with us today. Inspire us, encourage us, stir us up that we might know you better. That we might love you better. That we might see you, among these friends, today. Amen.

• How does the way we talk about church influence the way we see church?
• How can the church still be the church in the midst of crisis?

Further Study

• Check-in with friends this week in a way you normally don’t. 
• Read about monasticism and other ways the church survived crises.
• Start planning for how this time away from others changes how you will be when you can be close to others. What is it teaching you that you’ll want to continue? Start keeping a journal.
