Holy Week Meditations

Holy Week stands out singularly in the Christian calendar. There is no time like it.

One week. A time marked patiently with palms and crosses.

we will soon begin our longest night

For Christians throughout history, it has remained a meaningful time of deep devotion. A whole season to itself, just seven days, culminating in the most terrifying moment. And yet, there is that sneaking suspicion that things are not yet over. We have one more day to wait. The scary, empty second day. And then, somehow the terror is turned to awe and joy.

Each day of Holy Week is different, and each deserves its moment, its time. Follow along. Be present. Arrive with Jesus at the beginning of the end. Where else, but at Jerusalem?

The sun is setting, the shadows grow long. How will we hear the teaching, the music of GOD? How will we see where we are going? What will we do?

We have but to wait, watch, and walk in.
