The project I’ve been stewing on for awhile is a new blog called Break Sabbath. It is a passion project of mine, dealing with the very root of my faith–the notion that we are challenged to find the source of our faith in spite of its trappings.
In my third post, I explore what it means to treat Christmas a little differently than we do. A slight tweak in the the practice, if you will. Because embedded in the way Christmas was historically celebrated is an important truth that is obscured by our current practice.
Here’s a hint: it has to do with living out the whole Christmas season.
I hope you enjoy it!
And don’t worry, this blog isn’t going anywhere. As I wrote a couple of weeks ago, the other blog will help me narrow my focus for both. And hopefully create a more consistent and worthwhile experience for all.
