In one of the sickest things I’ve read in a while, Tennessee congressperson Richard Floyd says he would “just try to stomp a mudhole in him and then stomp him dry” if a transgendered individual used a bathroom with his wife or daughter. That is why he is sponsoring a bill that would fine transgendered persons for being transgendered in public.
This would be sick, any which we you go with it, but let’s just recognize that this man sees this action and this threat as protecting his family. He is advocating not simply physical violence, but mortal violence for “endangering” his wife and daughter with…what? Cooties? The very thought that transgender is real? And is this not the state that passed the “Don’t Say Gay” bill? One industrious school took it a step further and banned all things homosexual. But you have to find the logic stupefying:
We must save our kids from thinking.
Eliminate the personal liberty of thousands of people in your state and make their very nature unspeakable to protect others? Oh, and while we’re at, let’s advocate killing them. Just for using a bathroom.
Who’s kids need protecting from whom?
