Here’s one of the reasons I have a iPad. Because it’s from Apple, and not from Barnes and Noble. Actually, I’ve tried the Nook, it’s kinda sluggish, no ?
I guess you didn’t hear that B&N is spinning off the Nook.

One of the big selling points for the Nook is the fact that less technically inclined customers can always go to one of the local stores for help or for free wifi.
It’s just a matter of time until B&N closes its doors like Borders before it.
The Color is, but the Tablet is much better and priced at the low end of the tablet range. It has much better specs than the Kindle Fire and from all of the bad reviews on that machine, the Tablet also functions way better. Like you, I am an Apple fan and if I had $699 I would get an iPad too.
As for the spin off, it was only rumored (which means they were looking into it) as far as I know. Or did something happen in the last few days?
Yikes! I’m stunned when, in this world of connectivity and easily shared experiences (bad or good), companies take the “not our problem” approach to what is very much their problem.
I know! Can you believe it? There are so very many ways that this is not the right approach. And let’s be honest, they really ought to know better!
