Who among us hasn’t made a mixtape for someone they loved? Or at least were in love with at one point. It should come to nobody’s surprise that I’ve made a bunch of such mixtapes in my time and given them to…well, several…people. But, and this may sound cheesy, there is something about the mixtape for the love of your life. The love of a few days or a few weeks or months is pretty awesome, and worth a mixtape. But a love for life? Well, that’s worth something more.
Here’s a song that starts to say what I feel about that kind of love, and this love in particular:
“Home” by Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros
I love you, Baby.
