This morning I was at the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration in Rome, Georgia. What a day to make one’s first appearance as supply! But they were gracious and welcoming and I think we made some good worship!
Of course, preaching on such a day as this, it is impossible (or possible, but cowardly) to avoid that elephant taking over the living room. I thought about walking in and saying. “Yes, we’re going to cover 9/11. So be prepared!” I didn’t. But I did preach about forgiveness. We pulled this great gospel from Matthew (18:21-35) about forgiveness, and I couldn’t avoid it, so I decided to go full steam ahead!
If you want to read it, go here.
What do you need to let go and who do you need to forgive in your life? Who do we need to forgive?
